Drake recently expressed his admiration for Sophie Brussaux, the mother of his six-year-old son Adonis, in celebration of Mother’s Day.
Sunday, May 12 marked Mother’s Day in the United States and Canada, and the Toronto native shared a heartfelt tribute to his former girlfriend Sophie Brussaux. Drake’s homage comes amidst his involvement in controversies with Kendrick Lamar and handling numerous intruders at his Canadian home in the past week.
In an Instagram story post, the “Rich Baby Daddy” rapper wished Sophie Brussaux, a French artist and model, a happy Mother’s Day. “Mom, hope you feel all the love from the ones we chose,” the 37-year-old man expressed, accompanied by an adorable selfie of Brussaux and their son, Adonis Graham.
Drake shares six-year-old Adonis with Brussaux after initially denying he had a child. However, in his 2018 album ‘Scorpion,’ he made a candid admission: “I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world, I was hiding the world from my kid.” In recent weeks, the rapper has been busy releasing diss tracks aimed at Kendrick Lamar as the two are embroiled in a feud.
Kendrick and Drake have been firing shots at each other following Kendrick’s initial rebuttal in “Like That,” where he questioned the rap game’s “big three.”
Drake is currently on tour across the United States and Canada as part of his ‘It’s All A Blur’ concert series.
