Alligators are not inherently aggressive animals, unlike crocodiles. Although they are much less ᴅᴀɴɢᴇʀᴏᴜs than saltwater or Nile crocodiles, which are more aggressive and larger, the general public’s view of these reptiles is that of violent, ʙʟᴏᴏᴅthirsty monsters.
On the 18th hole of a golf course in South Carolina, two alligators were seen ғɪɢʜᴛing in front of the camera. At the Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes in Hardeeville, the screaming beasts engaged in ferocious combat for two hours as the players watched in ᴀᴡᴇ.
Matthew Proffitt was playing golf with his mates when he saw the gators ғɪɢʜᴛing. He photographed the animals as they fought each other with their formidable jaws.
One of the creatures was seen biting off the arm of the other alligator. The victim was bit on the head by the animal in retaliation. The two remained there for the majority of the ғɪɢʜᴛ. In the video, it is clear that neither one of them wants to let the other go. They would try to roll or shake after remaining still with their jaws ᴄʟᴏsᴇd for a while.
The golfer was so taken aback that he said the argument went on for around two hours. The struggle lasted for several hours, and the video didn’t show how it ended, so the animals must have had extraordinary fortitude to endure the distance. Profitt had not yet seen an alligator on the course, despite the fact that there are a lot of them in the area.
Let’s watch the video:
