The Las Vegas Raiders will kick off their first draft with the new regime of general manager John Spytek and head coach Pete Carroll in April, as the team has a plethora of needs that must filled in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Las Vegas is slated to have three picks in the top 100 and also have a top ten selection for the second time in the last three years.
The Raiders will need all the draft capital they can get it, and the franchise received more picks on Tuesday, as the league announced the compensatory draft choices for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Here is how teams can gain compensatory draft picks from the free agents they lost in the previous offseason:
“Under the rules for compensatory draft selections, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents (“CFA”) than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks. Compensatory free agents are determined by a formula based on salary, playing time and postseason honors. The formula was developed by the NFL Management Council. Not every free agent lost or signed by a club is covered by this formula. Clubs that suffer a net loss of CFAs during the prior free agent signing period are eligible to receive a corresponding number of compensatory selections.”
The Raiders lost Jermaine Eluemunor, Austin Hooper, Josh Jacobs, Bilal Nichols, and Amik Robertson in free agency last offseason but also gained Harrison Bryant, Gardner Minshew, and Christian Wilkins.
Here is an updated look at the Raiders’ 2025 draft selections with two compensatory picks.
