Fatal Encounter: Lion’s Reckless Challenge Against the Mighty Crocodile Ends in Tragedy

October 30, 2023 by Pham Hien

This dramatic river crossing was recorded by visitors in Kruger National Park, South Africa.

In the clip, a lioness is standing on the shore to observe. After a moment of hesitation, it decided to swim across the river and to the other side. Realizing that the prey was approaching, a crocodile immediately rushed towards the lion.

When close to the opponent, the crocodile floats to the surface, grabs the lion and drowns the prey in the water. It was thought that the lion had lost its life, but suddenly it rose out of the water and speeded up to cross the river safely.

In the wild, lions and crocodiles have always been known as two of the notorious carnivores. Thanks to their superior strength and sharp teeth, they are always a nightmare for other animals.

However, lions and crocodiles rarely fight with each other, because the two hardly have the opportunity to face each other. However, once a conflict occurs, it is certainly a very cruel war.
