An Urgent Appeal In ᴀssɪsᴛɪɴɢ Animals Those That Have Been ʜᴀʀᴍᴇᴅ Across Uᴋʀᴀɪɴᴇ
With the ᴡᴀʀ happening in Uᴋʀᴀɪɴᴇ, there are many animal sʜᴇʟᴛᴇʀs, sᴀɴᴄᴛᴜᴀʀɪᴇs, ᴀɴᴅ ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇ ᴄᴇɴᴛᴇʀs that need help. We are running an ᴜʀɢᴇɴᴛ ᴀᴘᴘᴇᴀʟ to anyone interested in assisting these animals across Uᴋʀᴀɪɴᴇ.
Food and water. At the start of this ᴜɢʟʏ ᴡᴀʀ, there was a message stating that pet food will be in short supply very soon. We are now at that point. We need to be able to get dry, wet, mixed food and clean water to animals.
A lot of animals from sʜᴇʟᴛᴇʀs and ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇ centers still require medical attention, including those that have been ʜᴀʀᴍᴇᴅ in this ᴡᴀʀ. We need to help get supplies to vets, ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇrs, and animal welfare experts to let them do their job of tending to the animals’ needs.
Temporary sʜᴇʟᴛᴇʀs. Not all sʜᴇʟᴛᴇʀs at the borders will be equipped to take on so many ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇd animals. We want to help create temporary sʜᴇʟᴛᴇʀs so that no animal is ᴛᴜʀɴᴇᴅ away and avoid overcrowding.
It is not simply a case of ʀᴇsᴄᴜɪɴɢ an animal and giving it food, water and shelter (although that is primary). Animals, like humans, are unique. Some sᴜFFᴇʀ ʟᴏɴɢ-ᴛᴇʀᴍ ᴛʀᴀᴜᴍᴀ Fʀᴏᴍ ɪɴᴄɪᴅᴇɴᴛs, such as this ᴡᴀʀ. Others are in need of ɪᴍᴍᴇᴅɪᴀᴛᴇ ᴍᴇᴅɪᴄᴀʟ ᴀᴛᴛᴇɴᴛɪᴏɴ that cannot be seen by the ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇrs whilst they are caring for so many other animals.
There will be the aftermath of this ᴡᴀʀ which will ᴅɪsʀᴜᴘᴛ many animals’ lives, their habitats, and environments.
We will try to leave no animal behind, even the puppies who were recently born into this.
It’s a sᴛʀᴜɢɢʟᴇ for both human and animal evacuation and borders are open to taking in animals that we were not allowed before. Zoos across Europe are scrambling to take in larger animals from sanctuaries and zoos, however, it has not been easy to ᴇᴠᴀᴄᴜᴀᴛᴇ all of them safely
